For those who love the taste and smell of lavender and want to make lavender jam themselves, there are some delicious recipes for the sweet spread with the French touch.

Lavender strawberry jam

In most cases, lavender is combined with fruit to achieve a harmonious blend. Pure lavender jam is often too dominant and is therefore perceived by many as rather unpleasant.

Strawberries and lavender harmonize best and that's why this classic should not be missing here.

➲ Ingredients:

For about 5 - 6 glasses of lavender and strawberry jam you need:

  • 1 kg of strawberries
  • Juice of 1-2 lemons
  • 2 tablespoons of dried lavender
  • 500 g jam sugar 2: 1

➲ Preparation:

❶ First of all, you have to wash and clean the strawberries. Depending on whether you want the fine or lumpy jam, the strawberries must now be mashed or quartered.

❷ Then finely chop the lavender flowers and put them together with the strawberries and jam sugar in a large saucepan. Now let this mixture boil. From the moment it boils, let the mass continue to boil for four minutes. It is best to cover it with a little cloth all around.

❸ Finally, add the lemon juice, stir once and fill the mass while still hot in clean, hot-rinsed glasses.

❹ Close immediately and turn it upside down. After about 5 minutes you can turn the glasses over again.

Apricot jam lavender

Apricots are also an interesting taste experience in combination with lavender. For this you need:

  • 1 kg apricots
  • Juice of 1-2 lemons
  • 2 tablespoons of dried lavender
  • 500 g jam sugar 2: 1

➲ Preparation:

❶ At the beginning, the apricots have to be washed, pitted and quartered. The fruits are then filled into a saucepan with the gelling sugar and lemon juice and left to rest overnight.

❷ Puree the fruit the next day and add the chopped lavender. Now bring this mass to the boil and then let it boil for another four minutes.

❸ Now the hot jam can be poured into clean, hot rinsed jars.

" My advice: Peaches and nectarines also harmonize perfectly with lavender. Just try it out and enjoy. Good Appetite!!!
